49er Beat The Packers

Score: 49ers 30 – Packers 22

In the 49ers season opener at Lambeau Field today our 49ers kicked some ass. I watched NFL stations all week and many had picked Green Bay to win but I knew we could pull this off. The 49ers Defense is still running on all cylinders even though Patrick Willis sat out a lot during the game. The offense looks great even with a few bad throws by Alex Smith, all of our weapons did their job. It was good to see Randy Moss get his first TD as a 49er.

The refs really messed with the game. Some were bad calls against the Niners and others against the Packers. The Packers should not have had the 6 points that Cobb ran back since there was one illegal block in the backfield on Anthony Dixon and a possible other illegal block.

The game was a nail-biter that is for sure. We all know what Aaron Rodgers is capable of and you can’t give him time to throw. Luckily the defense was all over Rodgers but I didn’t see too many if any LB blitz. Aldon Smith, Ahmad Brooks and Carlos Rogers all had sacks on discount-double-check! Partrick Willis part 2 better known as NaVorro Bowman had an INT from Rodgers.

The rookies AJ Jenkins and LaMichael James (inactive) did not get to see any playing time. I know many are frustrated with James after some poor kick returns in preseason but these are the same people that have no idea what he can do. Give it some time not all rookies get to play their first season. Both of these guys will be making plays soon and if not this year then next season.

The 9 game losing streak to Green Bay has ended in this new 49er Era. The 49ers are off to a new dynasty and newer fans may get to see what I saw out of the 49ers in the 1980’s and that was pure magic. Get ready for another action packed season and this time we may be at the big show.

I don’t know which ball made a bigger sound on the goal post, David Akers unbelievable 63 yard Field Goal (which was awesome and one for the record books) or Vernon Davis‘ TD slam dunk that was rejected? Either way they were both points on the board to beat the cheese-heads! Go Niners!!

Nest week the Lions are getting tamed.
